Our Story
Back in 2008 Apex HCM By IRIS embarked on a mission we continue to pursue today, lead the payroll software industry in delivering the easiest to use and most powerful cloud-based platform supported with unmatched personal service. Created by a team of industry veterans with decades of payroll experience, Apex began with a deep understanding of the technology and service requirements that payroll service bureaus need to be successful. Apex introduced the Employer OnDemand payroll platform which transformed payroll software for small to large service bureaus. Later developments led to Apex introducing the industry leading Apex Employer on the GO payroll and HCM platform. Apex stands as one of the few payroll technology companies offering a true cloud-based system scalable for the largest payroll service bureaus and simultaneously integrated with the broadest suite of smart HCM services.
While technology leadership remains at the heart of Apex HCM we also understand the power of personal service. Apex HCM offers unmatched personal service to help our customers quickly migrate data from their legacy system and learn the Apex platform. We understand that onboarding a new software system involves time, expense, and effort. Apex HCM deploys a team of industry experts whose only job is to create a great experience while you transition to and grow on the Apex HCM service bureau platform.
Beyond software, beyond service, Apex invests in research to determine best practices for service bureau organizations to grow their payroll business. In addition, we support the Apex Industry Leadership Council which participates in our research projects and also participates in our product development roadmap planning. The majority of our new product features and enhancements are proposed and voted upon by Apex customers. As a result, every year, large and small payroll service bureaus switch to Apex HCM because it enables them to operate their businesses more efficiently and scale for growth. Over 300 payroll service bureaus use Apex HCM to process payroll for tens of thousands of employers nationwide.
